Dr. (Col) Awadh Kishore Prasad (born 8 November 1944) is a renowned scholar and explorer whose pioneering discoveries transformed the understanding of Indian Prehistory and Eastern Indian archaeology. His work spans rock art, inscriptions, Stone Age cultures, Buddhism, tribal history, and ancient trade routes.

Back ground
He holds postgraduate degrees in History, Political Science, Education, and Law, and earned his PhD from the University of Poona in 1988. His thesis, The Bhils of Khandesh and the British East India Company, was published by the Indian Council of Historical Research in 1991.
